But it is not just about 'doing the right thing', there is a legal obligation, not only by the contractor but also the building owner, to ensure that adequate health and safety practices are being adopted by all on site. Legislation dictates that no matter the size of the project, a compliant health and safety file must be produced by the main contractor and the building owner (or Principal Agent) is responsible for carrying out monthly audits to ensure that the contractors level of competency meets at least the minimum required standards as set out in the OHSACT.
ProjectLab Health & Safety, a subsidiary of ProjectLab Consultants, is fully equipped with a team of Safety Officers to mitigate project risk and more importantly to assist in ensuring that site workers return home safely to their families each and every day.
